Tree Watching

The air is cooling

into a soothing breeze.

I sit here watching,

listening to The Trees.

The chirp of the crickets

and sonnet of the birds.

All wash away

my former hurts.

The lovely sunlight

O soft and sweet!

Makes me feel alive

as I watch The Trees.

Citrus fills the air

and sweetens the Soul.

Here I will rest,

on this grassy knoll.

The place beyond

and the place before.

Make you realise

there must be more.

Sleeping giants

in a dance of peace.

Teaching me,

as I watch the trees.

Until I die

I will watch the trees.

Until they die

They will watch over me.
